The 3 children of Patrick Edge had expected to share equally in his Estate.   The family house in Guernsey worth an estimated £3.5million was a major asset of the estate to be divided between John Edge and his sisters Patricia Assersohn and Angela Herst.   When Patrick Edge died in January aged 96 Mrs Assersohn says she was amazed to find not only that most of his cash and investments had already been given to Mrs Herst, but also that she had bought his home from him a few months earlier for just £1.

Now the family is being torn apart by a court battle, with Mrs Assersohn, 72, claiming that ‘undue influence’ was imposed on their father before he gave much of his estate to Mrs Herst.   Source:   This is Money
